I have made it to the 3rd trimester and couldn't be happier. I am 28 weeks and Charlie is now about 15 inches and 2.5 pounds, the size of a Chinese cabbage. He is now able to open his eyes, which now have eyelashes, this is really just a reflex though he isn't doing it for any good reason. He is also putting on more fat so that he can get warm once he is born and no longer in his current comfy climate.
Charlies kicks continue to get stronger, some have even been so strong they catch me off guard. I will have to say so far my favorite thing about being pregnant in the last few weeks is being able to watch him move from the outside. Every night before I go to bed I will sit and try to watch him for 30 minutes, some nights he cooperates but I swear some nights he knows I am watching him and he won't move until I get frustrated and quit looking. I guess the stubbornness starts early so I will just have to get use to it.
I go for my 28 week appointment on Monday and after that I will start going every two week. I am thinking this will make the next 12 weeks fly by and before we know it we will be meeting our little man and posting pics for all to see.
28 weeks down 12 to go!

More House Updates
Josh and I had yet another busy weekend of painting. We painted the kitchen and the half bath downstairs Apple Green. I really don't think we anticipated it taking so long. We worked from about 10 on Saturday and finally finished up around 3 on Sunday. On Monday my job was to finish up by painting the trim in the kitchen, bathroom and back hallway. Again this took me forever but it was worth it to have clean baseboard and door frames now. Below are the pictures of the finished product. I only added the kitchen since I wasn't able to get a good picture of the half bath.
After we finished up all the painting on Sunday we got cleaned up and headed out to Babies R US to look at the crib and changing table for Charlies room. After much debate over two cribs Josh left the decision making up to me and I ended up getting the Jenny Lind that I had wanted all along. When we got home Josh was nice enough to put the crib and changing table together for me. I guess when I mentioned that I was going to do put them together he thought it might be better if he stepped in as I am not very good at assembly. I added the picture of Charlies room below with the crib and changing table all set up. Things are really coming along in his room. The next step is for me to order the bedding and Josh has one piece of furniture left to paint and his room should be done. I think we can get it finished up in the next 12 weeks.
Now for anyone who is interested her is the belly. I took this picture last night and I am not quit 28 weeks. Charlie is definitely starting to poke his little self out there these days. It stills depends on what I wear as to how much you can see but I feel this picture is a good representation of how I am looking these days.
Stay tuned for the weekly update, on Friday I hit a huge milestone, the Third and Finally trimester so I am getting excited. I hope everyone has enjoyed all the pictures.

Crazy Movement
I am 27 weeks today and only a week away from entering the 3rd and final trimester. Charlie has now established a pretty good routine it seems. For the past week he has been kicking at about the same time every day. He is now 2 pounds and about 14.4 inches long. I can tell he is getting stronger it is quit obvious from all the kicking he is doing when he is awake. I can now see my stomach jump every time he kicks and it is so amazing. He tend to only kick my right side which I find very funny but that may just mean he is starting to run out of room. For the first time last night Josh was able to see this movement, he told me it looked like a stomach spasm but he could actually see it so it excited me.
As for other news, we are going to finish up painting this weekend, we took a break last weekend to go to Lanes 3rd birthday party. Josh and I are looking forward to having all our painting finished so we can have a few relaxing weekends of putting together baby furniture and toys before Charlie gets here.
27 weeks down only 13 left!

Under 100 and I Lost My Feet!
If you check out our ticker you will see that we are offically under 100 days until we get to meet Charlie and I feel like I am showing more these days. When I look down I can't seem to find my feet anymore, I guess that means Charlie is growing away in his little condo quit nicely.
I will be 26 weeks pregnant tomorrow and according to babycenter.com Charlie is now 14 inches long and is just shy of 2 lbs. His nerve pathways in his ear are continuing to develope and he can hear more and more sounds and even respond to it. His lungs are also developing and he is begining to take practice breaths for when he is born. He is also starting to put some more fat on so he is prepared for the major temp change when he is born.
Now for a house update, we finished painting the office, which is now an office/bedroom. We forgot to take pictures so I don't have any to post but it is the same color as the bathroom and the pink room. We also finished up the trim in the room and only have some touchup in the hall way as well as the trim and then upstairs will be finished. Then we only have the kitchen to finish and that should complete all our painting in the house by the end of the month. Josh and I are very excited about that, we are looking forward to a few free weekends to rest before Charlie gets here.

Latest Appointment
I had an appointment on Monday and just wanted to give a quick update. All is well with Charlie, Doctor said he had a good strong heartbeat. I didn't get a beats per minute from him but I was counting on my own and it is still around 170. I also took my test for Gestational Diabeties and I passed with flying colors, I think I had 32 points to spare. Charlie really seemed to like the orange drink, about 10 minutes after I drank it, I was waiting to see the doctor and he was kicking up a storm. He calmed down after all the sugar wore off. He does come by it honestly especially since I love sugar so much. Other then that nothing else to report from yet another uneventful appointment, which continues to be a good thing. I go back for my next appointment on March 3rd and then after that I will start going every 2 weeks.
On another note, we finished up the painting the pink bedroom and I am so greatful for that. Amazingly enough it only took us 2 coats of paint and one coat of primar. We finished up last night by painting the trim since it really needed to be touched up. So all in all we have three rooms down and two more left to paint. I have posted the before, during and after pictures for anyone who is interested. I also added one of Dixie becasue she felt so neglected this weekend while we were painting.

24 Weeks Down 16 Weeks Go
Only 16 weeks left and the sleepless nights have begun. Charlie is almost a foot long now and is a little over a pound. From what I read he will double his weight in the next few weeks. He is still pretty active and I can tell he is rolling all over the place, one minute he kicks me on my left side and the next I get a nice swift kick on the right. We might just have a little soccer player on our hands, I am sure his Uncle Jordan will be able to teach him a few things.
I am headed to the doctor on Monday for my 24 week appointment and I will be taking my glucose test to make sure I don't have Gestational Diabeties, I will also get to listen to his heart beat on the doppler again, which is by far my favorite part about all my appointments.
On the painting front, Josh and I are continuing to paint again this weekend in hopes that we can get the upstrairs done in the next few weeks. Once all the painting is compelte I will be able to order the nursery furniture and get the nursery finished. My hopes are to have the nursery completed by the end of the month or the first of next month. Look for more pictures to come soon as we finish each room.
Happy Super Bowl Weekend, Lets go G-Men!
