House Construction!

Gingerbread house that is, last week the boys and I put one together. I fully intended this to be a project for me and Charlie to do during the little ones naps but much to the delight of Coleman this is not what happened. As his luck would have it he woke just as we were starting and he got to join in on the construction! For our first attempt I will say it we did a pretty good job, here we are a week later and the house is still standing!

Rollin', Rollin', Rollin'!

He has finally happened baby girl decided to roll from her back to her belly on 12/11/12! No video because well, every time I try she decides to be stubborn, but a picture of this cute girl can make up for lack of video!

He's 2!

Coleman turned 2 last Thursday, and this is one momma who can't believe it! At 2 he is still laid back but he is chatting much more in the last month or so, this boy sure has a vocabulary and much like big brother he loves big words. He is very much into trains and emergency vehicles. We can't pass one by without him screaming with glee. He also loves to be outside and just run free and play. He wants to do everything big brother does and sure as fire he gives it a go and isn't afraid. Somedays I wish he had more fear, especially when climbing into big bros bed with him!

He really is a delight and with the addition of his sister I couldn't ask for a sweeter boy he truly has taken it in stride. Because of this we tend to forget he is only 2 because this boy is mature beyond years.

At 2 he is 24 pounds and 33 inches tall. This puts him in the 5% for both at his age, which is right were he has always been so no big surprise. He may be small but he is healthy and that is all that matters!

We love you little boy, Happy Birthday!

4 Months

Thanksgiving has come and gone and we are now well into the Christmas season, which is hard to believe. This past Monday baby girl hit a new milestone, 4 Months. This is still so very hard for me to believe but time intact does March on!

We visited the doctor today for her checkup only to find that she had an ear infection, she is following suit with Charlie and we will see if she will end up with tubes too. Other then that she is a very healthy girl growing nicely. She was 11 lbs 4 oz and 25 inches long, this puts her in the 10% for weight and 75% for height. Happy 4 month birthday to our long and lean girl!

Busy Little Bees!

It has been much harder to keep this blog up lately but I am trying my best. We have been super busy lately, with last minute trip to the beach, school, Halloween parties, soccer and just life in general.

Baby girl is now two months old and is still going great. She was 9lbs5oz and 23 1/4" long at her two month checkup. This put her in the 25% for weight and 90% for height. She is still go with the flow and just easy on general. We all love having her around and couldn't imagine life without her.

Coleman is approaching two years, whew that glee by! He is such a funny little guy and is very smart. The words and that come out of his mouth just blow my mind. He is very much like his big brother, he loves toys and better yet he loves toys that are lined up perfectly. He will play in the playroom for hours just like Charlie, I love his little personality!

Charlie is getting do big and right now he seems like 4 going on 15. He loves school and from what I can tell by his progress in the last few months he is doing great. If you asked him right now to go to kindergarten he would in a heartbeat, I on the other hand am not prepared for that adventure. He is still loving soccer but I have a feeling we will be leaving it behind on the spring for baseball. So there you have it a quick update on our super busy family, maybe I will be back to visit soon, I mean it really can't get much easy when I can update on my phone!

I should be...

...tackling a pile full of clothes for the consignment sale but instead I am snuggling with my sweet baby girl! I guess the pile can wait because we all know babies don't keep!

Big Little Guy

My little boy was such a big boy today. He sat by himself to get his haircut for the first time. Yes it required a lollipop, popcorn and a trusty McDonalds toy but I will call it a win. My little guy is growing up so fast!

Beach Fun!

For Labor Day we loaded up and headed south for a little beach fun! It was so refreshing to get away for a few days and recharge. A great time was had by all and it is safe to say by kids are beach bums!

The boys enjoyed playing in the sand and in the ocean and miss Priss enjoyed her naps on the beach. It didn't hurt that we had the perfect weather the whole time we were there. We can't wait to go back and spend more time at the cottage!

Bonnet Baby!

RaRa has been in full swing sewing mode for baby girl! As soon as she found out it was a girl she has been cranking out some of the sweetest outfits every. I am forever grateful to mom and her talents, one day I hope that McKenna will be able to pass this sweet Bishop and Bonnet down to her little girl.
This was the perfect outfit for baby girl to make her debut at church, I think there were just as many ohs and ahs at the smocking and detail of the dress and bonnet as there were at McKenna. For sure she will be one well dressed little girl and when she gets older I have a large selections of dresses that were mine when I was little that my mom also made that she will get to model!

Love!

Love that these three kiddos all love each other and will know that they are well loved!
My Three Babies

First Day of 4K!

It happened, Summer is over and school has started back! I am pretty sure that was one of the fastest summers ever. Charlie was super excited to start school today and he thinks he is such a big kid now that he is in 4K.
He is now back home and he had a great day and is ready for another fun filled day tomorrow. So happy it was great because only a week ago he was not excited at all about being in 4K, he kept telling us he was going to stay in 3K so he could stay with his old teachers and friends. Lucky for him ten other kids from his class are in his class this year! He did however get new teachers but after day one he thinks they are super nice and he is willing to stay in 4K now.
Little brother couldn't miss out on the picture action even though he is not going to school this year, I am not ready to give him up yet. Maybe he will go next year, I actually think he might enjoy it but for now he will have to settle for play time at the Y and hanging out with mommy and McKenna the rest of the day.
Here's to another great school year, I hope it passes slowly because lets face it this momma is not ready to send her baby off to big school next year!

The First Weeks!

Time seems to be flying by faster now that we have added our third Child, I still can't believe she is almost 4 weeks old! She seems so laid back and is suck an easy baby that she has made the transition from 2 to 3 very easy.
Little miss has proved to fit in just perfectly, just like her brothers she is a good sleeper and eater. She loves to cuddle and is most happy when being held. It looks like she is going to have red hair, most likely an auburn red so darker then Charlie. We still can't tell who she looks like for sure, some days it is Charlie and some days it is me, I guess only time will tell. She is growing like a weed and I hope this continues and she doesn't stall out like her brother but heck if she does we all know they turned out perfect and she will too!

She continues to go with the flow and does great when we are out and about, which is just about every day. She has already been a model for a local photographer, has gone to a birthday party, joined mommy at the gym for her daily run, gone to the pool, church and countless other places in the last few weeks. She had her first sick baby visit at not quite two weeks old, she had a nasty staph infection but we caught it early and with some antibiotics it cleared up in a few short days.

The boys continue to still be in awe of their little sister and the newness has not worn off, I am thinking maybe around six months when she starts stealing their toys they might not love her so much. Both of them want to kiss and love on her all they time and when she is crying Charlie likes to calm her down and to be honest he is pretty good at it! Looking forward to see what she has in store for us as she grows and changes, it has been one fun ride so far and I know it is only going to get better!

The Birth Story!

This is really only for my record as I have done this with both boys so feel free to just check out the pictures if you aren't interested.

We had the same plan in place as we did with the boys at 39 weeks to the day, I would go into the hospital at 6:00 am to begin the induction. We choose to induce because my body responds well to it and well we just need a plan in place with two other little ones to worry about at home. So at 5:30 on July 26th we left the house, I was actually feeling a little uncomfortable because I was had been having contractions since about 3 that morning so I was pretty sure she was going to come on the 26th no matter what. We got to the hospital on time, which was a first for us with the boys we were about 10 or 15 minutes late, I was actually pretty impressed with how well we did. We got checked in filled out paper work and then it was time to wait for Dr. Stone to get the whole thing started.

At about 7:30 or so Dr. Stone made his way to my room and we were a go. I got checked and was about 3.5 to 4 centimeters dilated. He went ahead and broke my water and got the pitocin started and he told me that I could go ahead and get my epidural whenever I wanted. I decided that the sooner the better since my babies come fast and I didn't want to miss my window. At about 8 or 8:30 the anesthesiologist came in with he good stuff and he made all my pain melt away, or at least for the moment.
Fast forward to about 10:00, my nurse Amber comes in and is going to check me and move me from one position to another. She checks me and I am about 6cm and contracting at a pretty good clip. She decides to sit me up after I had been on my side and says she will be back in about an hour to check me again. Not 10 minutes go by before I start to feel very sick and light headed as well as starting to feel every contraction on my left side all the way up to the top of my uterus, not good I tell you not good. I buzz the nurses station and my nurse is busy so another is sent to check on my. She gives me some medicine to raise my blood pressure back up it had dropped to the low 90's high 80's over like 35 or something, no wonder I was feeling bad. She also did a test by poking me with something to see where my feeling stopped and to see how the epidural was working. It turns out my right side was completely numb while my left side was not at all, hence me feeling every contraction. We tried to change positions to see if we could move the medicine without boosting it but that never really worked. About 5 minutes pass and my nurse comes back in and decides to check me and low and behold just like with Coleman I had gone from 6 to 10 in 15 minutes and I was ready to push!

At this point my nurse started prepping the room but not before she called the CRNA, leave it to me to get the only epidural that didn't have the button for the nurse to boost the meds. Thankfully the CRNA was there pretty quick, she warned me that this may not work especially with me being complete and ready to push but she would give it a try. Thankfully after about 10 minutes of waiting I was no longer feeling contractions, I was pretty numb but didn't care I felt so much better. By that point the room was ready and we were waiting on Dr. Stone, while we waited my nurse decided I needed to do a test push. I was able to push but after one push she said stop, baby was right there and she didn't not want to deliver the baby. As luck would have it I only had to wait about 5 more minutes for Dr. Stone and I couldn't really feel anything so I didn't have an overwhelming urge to push. Dr. Stone came in got ready and he really didn't believe that I was going to push the baby out so quick until I did one push for him and he was able to see the top of the head. I ended up pushing through 2 contractions and the baby was out, at that point he turned the baby so Josh and I would be the first to see that we had a little Girl!
And at 11:19 am  on July 26th, little miss McKenna joined our family. She was a great surprise and if I had it all to do over again, I still wouldn't find out. It was the coolest experience, I still can't believe we have a girl and it is a week later, I think it will take some getting use to. We love you McKenna and you just fit so perfect into our now family of Five!

It's A......

Missing My Boys!

These two wild and crazy boys are in Chattanooga for a few days and lets just say this mommy is missing them a tiny bit. Don't get me wrong I am getting a tone of stuff accomplished before baby Wood arrives and even relaxing a little but I still am missing my hugs and slobbery kisses!

They will be back soon and I know they are having so much fun and they are in great hands! So until Wednesday I will try to enjoy running errands by myself, nesting and a little relaxing!

Baby Wood 3 Update!

I guess it has been some time since I have had the energy or time to update from the real computer. Well post may get fewer and far between for a while as we are set to welcome Baby Wood #3 on July 26th! That is unless this little one tries to make an earlier appearance. We will be sure to update while at the hospital thanks to the blogger app on the phone which is a little easier then pulling out the big computer, oh the ease of an iPhone and an iPad!

Now time for the finally push to get everything pulled together before we become a family of five and the chaos and fun grows. The boys are set for a visit to Chattanooga this weekend to stay with the grandparents for five days so here is to hoping that I can get this house whipped into shape and we are fully prepared for the arrival of our third baby!

Beach Bums!

I along with my mom was able to take the boys to the beach for a quick trip to the beach about two weeks ago. Charlie has been dying to go and I knew with the impending arrival of Baby Wood 3 we would not be able to go when we normally would.

It was a fun, quick trip despite the fact that both Coleman and I were under the weather. We still managed to enjoy some fun time on the beach and on the porch in the pool at the cottage. We are all ready to head back with daddy and new baby as soon as we can!

The boys love the sand and new tent!

Charlie went for his first run on the beach, one of my favorite things to do!

My littlest being his happy self!

About to do some crafts during quiet time!

Little Boy had walking Pneumonia and was crashed out in bed! Thankfully he felt better after the first day!

Summertime Fun

So we had big plans of going to the pool this morning after my morning work out but the weather decided not to cooperate and we had to scrap our original plan.

Instead we came home expecting to have movie day because it was cloudy and a little rainy.

Wouldn't you know that the minute we finished up our preplanned lunch at the pool that the sun came out. Lucky for us we have a great back yard and we set up some water fun outside.

Not quite the same as the pool but it will do in a pinch when you have two little boys who are very eager to play outside in the water!
