Art Project!

Charlie loves to color but the sad fact is that even though he loves to color he loves to eat what ever he is using to color far more. Earlier this week while I was getting dinner ready I though I would let Charlie color and paint for a little while. He quietly colored for a few minutes and I figured he was fine so I continued to cook. Josh came down looked at Charlie and then looked at me and said why is his mouth all blue. Instead of painting with his the crayola toddler paints he was sucking on the brush. His little face and hands were covered with blue paint and yes it is non-toxic just for this reason. I am pretty sure there isn't a day that goes by that this little guy doesn't make us laugh!

So proud of what he has done!

Playing and Pumpkins!

On Sunday Josh carved our pumpkins and unlike last year Charlie did not sit and watch daddy but instead he and Dixie ran around the backyard and played. Lets face it our little guy sits still for nothing so I really wasn't surprised when he didn't want to sit still and watch. I did try to get him to watch but that lasted for five minutes we we have very few pictures of him with the actual pumpkins.

What a difference.....

....a year will make. These are very similar pictures that were taken at the pumpkin patch a year apart. I really can't believe how much Charlie has grown from this time last year, it really does amaze me every day. Last year our little guy had no hair, couldn't walk and was just not really sure what was going on. Fast forward to this year and he has a head full of hair, is running around every where and had a blast at the Patch you can tell by the smile on his face!

Charlie and the Great Pumpkin Patch!

On Sunday we took Charlie to the Pumpkin Patch in Hayden, AL, this was his second trip but this year he had so much more fun since he could run around. Charlie had so much fun playing and running around the patch, he would run up to all the pumpkins and say "ball" and then try to pick them up. We ended up picking out two pumpkins which daddy had to carry since they were to heavy for Charlie to carry. He also ran around the maze, which I think he found to be a lot of fun, I did have to keep a close watch on him while in the maze though since there were lots of big kids running around and not looking out for the little ones.

After we got finished with the patch and the maze we took a hayride back up to the main area where there was more fun things to do. Charlie went through the petting zoo and saw some goats, chickens and a Llama. After the mini petting zoo he went for a ride on a pony, he wasn't quite sure at first but by the time his ride was over he was having a great time. After the pony ride we decided it was time to head home, I know Charlie had a great time and he can't wait until next year when he gets to go back!

What a perfect day at the Patch!

Long Time No Blog!

I know it has been an incredibly long time since I last blogged and for good reason, we have been very busy in the household. Between hanging out with Friends, having visitors, helping at the consignment sale at church, working and trips to Chattanooga for a Class reunion there has been little free time in our household.

As far as that little boy goes he is getting funnier and funnier by the day and he surely does keep us on our toes. He is more vocal these days and his new word which happens to be my favorite is "peasssss" (please). After a couple of weeks he has figured out if he would like something all he has to do is say peassss and he will get what he wants we are now working on thank you which I believe will take more time. He is also saying ball, bath, Dixie, go go go and several others that I just can't think of right now. He is also very stubborn these days if he doesn't get what he wants he will get very upset and stomp his little foot, I have to try very hard not to laugh so he knows he shouldn't do it. He also very much loves to dance and run around these days, Daddy taught him to dance in circles and it is pretty funny because he makes himself dizzy when he does it. This little boy continues to make us smile and we just can't get enough of him and his crazy little personality.
