Summer Time!

Summer is officially here in Alabama and I can already tell it is going to be a hot one! In order to get some relief from the heat we invested in a fabulous water slide that we can set up for Charlie in the back yard. He has already enjoyed many hours of fun in the sun sliding and swimming in his new favorite toy!

Aside from the slide we have many activities planed that are sure to make this summer a blast, we are going to the Zoo, The Splash Park, McWane, his first VBS and two beach trips! Before we know it Fall will be here and school will be starting again but until then I plan to enjoy this HOT summer with my boys playing and making memories!

Dixie and Charlie enjoy the water!

He could do this all day!

Toes!

Coleman is pretty flexible, just like his brother and in the last few days he has discovered his toes. If he is playing on his mat or if he is in his car seat he has his feet in his mouth, gross I know, but also way cute! This little bundle continues to make me laugh and realize how thankful I am now that I am how with him and his brother full time, I wouldn't change any of it for the world but can someone please tell me where the last six months went?

How far can I get these in my mouth?
Those big blue eyes get me every time!

Charlie is Three!

The day has come and gone and my little boy is now a three year old mess! We celebrated in style with all our sweet friends and family. As requested by the birthday boy we had all things fire trucks! I know Charlie had a great day running around with all his friends and he was completely exhausted by bed time.

I am still in awe that three years ago today we were bringing him home from the hospital to begin our journey as parents. He is such a joy to have around and he makes every day so very interesting and is so super funny. I have learned that I need to watch what I say around him because he will repeat it later, for instance I am always telling him to worry about himself and the other day I asked him to do something and he promptly told me to "worry about you self mommy!"

Thank you so much Charlie for letting me be your mom and for making my life so interesting! I love you big boy and can't wait to see what the next year brings!

Fabulous Food!

Coleman has started solids and he is in love, after 3 days of trying he is finally getting the hang of eating. He is only getting oatmeal cereal right now and will start on fruits and veggies next month. His big blue eyes and his smile show just how much he loves his new food, I am hoping he turns out to be as good of an eater as his big brother because Charlie could pack in some solids and still does!

5 Months!

Holy Cow!!!! Where did the last 5 months go? Coleman is 5 months old today and he is a complete ray of sunshine, with his big open mouth smile and his sweet little baby giggle, he can light up any room!

Just recently he has discovered his feet and he loves to play on the floor and hold them and laugh at them. He is so very close to rolling from his back to his belly but he just can't figure out what to do with that darn arm to get all the way over, he has yet to get frustrated over it but I am sure that will come soon. He is still a great sleeper and is happy for the most part unless he is tired or hunger.

There will be no doctors appointment this month but I still suspect he is hovering in the 5%, he is my little guy and I love him! He hasn't started solids yet but that is coming this weekend, so we will see how this goes. I am going to attempt to make some rice/oatmeal cereal for him, which he will get for a month and then we will start with fruits and veggies when he is six months, it is almost time for Josh and I to get reacquainted with the peeler and the blender since we will be making Coleman's food like we did for Charlie.

Happy 5 months sweet Coleman we love you more and more everyday and I am pretty sure your brother is getting very anxious for you to be mobile so you can play!

Laid Back!

I still swaddle Coleman but it looks like those days are coming to an end! This is how I found him when I went to get him up from his nap the other day and I couldn't resist snapping a few shots of him. He looks so laid back and peaceful. If you wondering what is on his head, that is a lovie, for naps he must have it over his eye's in order to fall go to sleep, he doesn't need it at night because it is already dark enough.

Sleep, sweet boy!
He started to stir and stretch!

Then he fell back asleep!
