Bonnet Baby!

RaRa has been in full swing sewing mode for baby girl! As soon as she found out it was a girl she has been cranking out some of the sweetest outfits every. I am forever grateful to mom and her talents, one day I hope that McKenna will be able to pass this sweet Bishop and Bonnet down to her little girl.
This was the perfect outfit for baby girl to make her debut at church, I think there were just as many ohs and ahs at the smocking and detail of the dress and bonnet as there were at McKenna. For sure she will be one well dressed little girl and when she gets older I have a large selections of dresses that were mine when I was little that my mom also made that she will get to model!

Love!

Love that these three kiddos all love each other and will know that they are well loved!
My Three Babies

First Day of 4K!

It happened, Summer is over and school has started back! I am pretty sure that was one of the fastest summers ever. Charlie was super excited to start school today and he thinks he is such a big kid now that he is in 4K.
He is now back home and he had a great day and is ready for another fun filled day tomorrow. So happy it was great because only a week ago he was not excited at all about being in 4K, he kept telling us he was going to stay in 3K so he could stay with his old teachers and friends. Lucky for him ten other kids from his class are in his class this year! He did however get new teachers but after day one he thinks they are super nice and he is willing to stay in 4K now.
Little brother couldn't miss out on the picture action even though he is not going to school this year, I am not ready to give him up yet. Maybe he will go next year, I actually think he might enjoy it but for now he will have to settle for play time at the Y and hanging out with mommy and McKenna the rest of the day.
Here's to another great school year, I hope it passes slowly because lets face it this momma is not ready to send her baby off to big school next year!

The First Weeks!

Time seems to be flying by faster now that we have added our third Child, I still can't believe she is almost 4 weeks old! She seems so laid back and is suck an easy baby that she has made the transition from 2 to 3 very easy.
Little miss has proved to fit in just perfectly, just like her brothers she is a good sleeper and eater. She loves to cuddle and is most happy when being held. It looks like she is going to have red hair, most likely an auburn red so darker then Charlie. We still can't tell who she looks like for sure, some days it is Charlie and some days it is me, I guess only time will tell. She is growing like a weed and I hope this continues and she doesn't stall out like her brother but heck if she does we all know they turned out perfect and she will too!

She continues to go with the flow and does great when we are out and about, which is just about every day. She has already been a model for a local photographer, has gone to a birthday party, joined mommy at the gym for her daily run, gone to the pool, church and countless other places in the last few weeks. She had her first sick baby visit at not quite two weeks old, she had a nasty staph infection but we caught it early and with some antibiotics it cleared up in a few short days.

The boys continue to still be in awe of their little sister and the newness has not worn off, I am thinking maybe around six months when she starts stealing their toys they might not love her so much. Both of them want to kiss and love on her all they time and when she is crying Charlie likes to calm her down and to be honest he is pretty good at it! Looking forward to see what she has in store for us as she grows and changes, it has been one fun ride so far and I know it is only going to get better!

The Birth Story!

This is really only for my record as I have done this with both boys so feel free to just check out the pictures if you aren't interested.

We had the same plan in place as we did with the boys at 39 weeks to the day, I would go into the hospital at 6:00 am to begin the induction. We choose to induce because my body responds well to it and well we just need a plan in place with two other little ones to worry about at home. So at 5:30 on July 26th we left the house, I was actually feeling a little uncomfortable because I was had been having contractions since about 3 that morning so I was pretty sure she was going to come on the 26th no matter what. We got to the hospital on time, which was a first for us with the boys we were about 10 or 15 minutes late, I was actually pretty impressed with how well we did. We got checked in filled out paper work and then it was time to wait for Dr. Stone to get the whole thing started.

At about 7:30 or so Dr. Stone made his way to my room and we were a go. I got checked and was about 3.5 to 4 centimeters dilated. He went ahead and broke my water and got the pitocin started and he told me that I could go ahead and get my epidural whenever I wanted. I decided that the sooner the better since my babies come fast and I didn't want to miss my window. At about 8 or 8:30 the anesthesiologist came in with he good stuff and he made all my pain melt away, or at least for the moment.
Fast forward to about 10:00, my nurse Amber comes in and is going to check me and move me from one position to another. She checks me and I am about 6cm and contracting at a pretty good clip. She decides to sit me up after I had been on my side and says she will be back in about an hour to check me again. Not 10 minutes go by before I start to feel very sick and light headed as well as starting to feel every contraction on my left side all the way up to the top of my uterus, not good I tell you not good. I buzz the nurses station and my nurse is busy so another is sent to check on my. She gives me some medicine to raise my blood pressure back up it had dropped to the low 90's high 80's over like 35 or something, no wonder I was feeling bad. She also did a test by poking me with something to see where my feeling stopped and to see how the epidural was working. It turns out my right side was completely numb while my left side was not at all, hence me feeling every contraction. We tried to change positions to see if we could move the medicine without boosting it but that never really worked. About 5 minutes pass and my nurse comes back in and decides to check me and low and behold just like with Coleman I had gone from 6 to 10 in 15 minutes and I was ready to push!

At this point my nurse started prepping the room but not before she called the CRNA, leave it to me to get the only epidural that didn't have the button for the nurse to boost the meds. Thankfully the CRNA was there pretty quick, she warned me that this may not work especially with me being complete and ready to push but she would give it a try. Thankfully after about 10 minutes of waiting I was no longer feeling contractions, I was pretty numb but didn't care I felt so much better. By that point the room was ready and we were waiting on Dr. Stone, while we waited my nurse decided I needed to do a test push. I was able to push but after one push she said stop, baby was right there and she didn't not want to deliver the baby. As luck would have it I only had to wait about 5 more minutes for Dr. Stone and I couldn't really feel anything so I didn't have an overwhelming urge to push. Dr. Stone came in got ready and he really didn't believe that I was going to push the baby out so quick until I did one push for him and he was able to see the top of the head. I ended up pushing through 2 contractions and the baby was out, at that point he turned the baby so Josh and I would be the first to see that we had a little Girl!
And at 11:19 am  on July 26th, little miss McKenna joined our family. She was a great surprise and if I had it all to do over again, I still wouldn't find out. It was the coolest experience, I still can't believe we have a girl and it is a week later, I think it will take some getting use to. We love you McKenna and you just fit so perfect into our now family of Five!
